Edmonton Clinic Health Academy +
Kaye Edmonton Clinic
Located at the University of Alberta, Edmonton Clinic Health Academy and Kaye Edmonton Clinic was a joint venture between the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services. These two major institutional developments, including a pedway connection the two buildings, as well as to the LRT station and across 114 Street to the University of Alberta hospital, required extensive landscape architecture design services.
Shanna was responsible for coordinating with various multidisciplinary sub-consultants to translate the concept design into reality. Shanna provided extensive detailed design support as well as development of specifications and contract documents.
Jasper Shared School
The Jasper Shared School project was a ‘bridging’ project that developed the design for a new shared school facility in the town of Jasper for the Jasper Junior / Senior High School and École Desrochers. The project consisted of a bridging consultant team to take the project through concept and preliminary design and develop performance specifications that can then be passed on to a design-build consultant.
The design for this project was unique in its location in Jasper National Park. Some design challenges for this project included the need to develop two main entries, one for each school, and address the changing grade around the building in order to ensure accessibility to the school. Shanna was involved in developing design solutions for the project, including detailed grading, planting design, and design of the overhead seating structure, and reviewing drawings submitted by the design-build consultant for consistency with the design intent.
Multi-Family Residential + Commercial Development
Shanna is experienced in working on various multi-family residential sites and commercial development. She is familiar with the processes to obtain development permits and has extensive experience communicating with clients and coordinating with architectural and engineering sub-consultants.
Land Development
Shanna has worked on numerous land development projects, including streetscape development, open space and storm water management facilities, and entry features. She is comfortable coordinating with engineering consultants to achieve cohesive and attractive results.
Neil Crawford Provincial Centre Signage
Shanna led the redesign of the site signage for the Neil Crawford Provincial Centre. She was responsible for client management, signage design and coordination with structural engineering, development of construction drawings and specifications, and coordinating construction scheduling.

The project was ultimately put on hold by the client.
